Apparently, this is a bug of english version of CoAS. To avoid this, not land in this shore

This bug can be fixed with WordPad. I think someone on this forum already said that fix is on English forum. "Do not land there" means that player won't finish at least two quests.

I'm sorry i forgot that the english version of game has open scripts.

If a fix is on English forum, this problem can be easily solved.

Do such things happen only in English version?

I have never seen such things in Russian version.

Did you use cheats ?

No cheats. Looks like I saved and reloaded way too many times and profile is corrupted. I still have one older save, which I think did not break that way, but it is 2 years old. Before teno, city of abandoned ships and flying dutchman.

Looks funny Are you able to you sell that ship?

Ship slot is corrupted. I might be able to get that corvette back (haven't compared stats of ship before corruption and after "purchasing" sloop for corrupted slot), but I lose crew, supplies and trained companion.

Not as funny as when you get one and only Flying Dutchman from Port Control in Port Royal and it is converted to generic man-o-war stored in other Port Control.

After such corruptions I prefer to sail with just one ship (if 42lb cannons and 3k crew are not needed for town operations) and most of my ships are special ones. Only couple of man-o-wars are generic ships.

I need some help with a few things in the game:

1. I am on the second quest for Spain (Nation quest line) “At the behest of the holy inquisition” all was fine until I was sent to Panama to find Joao d’Ylan. I spoke with the trader at the store where the main character finds out that he has been missing for a month. In the quest log it sais something about searching the in Panama and the surrounding area. I have looked everywhere but I am stuck here I could use some help here!

2. While in Panama at the tavern while I was looking for hints on the quest mentioned above a dude told me that he saw a ship with black sails manned by skeletons or something, anyway I now have a quest in log book called “The ship of souls”, just out of curiosity is that the quest that activates the Flying Dutchman? And if so where/how do I find it?

Never touched the Spanish quest line, but regarding Flying Dutchman, one has to hear that rumor for 3 times and then go to the global map - it will appear nearby and initiate the fight.

He is not in surrounding area. That trader is in Panama itself.

Hi folks. I don't understand things well in here (just started learning Russian language), so maybe you can help me going through the process of upgrading my CoAS.
Today I downloaded an English version of CoAS, and now I want to update it as much as possible and plus apply some new addons/mods, because I've already played original game long time ago and now I want to experience something new. What would you suggest me to download? Please make a "step-by-step" guide if possible.
